Donate to support the work of the Institute:

The Institute’s project work is mostly supported by grants and contracts. Our many independent explorations of emerging issues and our pro bono work supporting grassroots groups are made possible through the contributions of our supporters. Over the last couple of years, these include the Institute’s Day After project, our podcast on the Many Futures of Work, our efforts connecting workforce development and entrepreneurship, and notably, our groundbreaking project on the geographies of women and people with disabilities. These are initiatives that we are growing to earn direct project funding.

The Institute is structured as a collaborative, so we are able to remain nimble and keep our overhead low. Even so, we need the help of our extended networks to make possible our often-cutting edge forays into workforce and community economic development as well as to keep our doors open.

You may donate through the link below or write a check and send it to the Institute for Work and the Economy, P.O. Box 4061, Oak Park, IL 60303-4061.

The Institute is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and is classified as a public charity. Donations to the Institute are tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law.
